American Parkour athlete Ryan Drake was saved by his parkour skills.
On February 10, 2010, Ryan Drake was strolling on the street quietly, and he was ambushed by 4 teenagers about his age. They were using knives, and one of them told him to give them his money, or things would get messy. Then, Drake punched one of them in the face, and his teeth broke and stayed attached to his knuckle. He then proceeded to run, with three armed teenagers running after him. After running for a long time, he jumped over a fence and climbed a wall in less than three seconds, a wall that the teenagers couldn't scale. The teenagers stayed there, waiting for him to come down, but they didn't realize that Drake had a cellphone and that he called the police. They were arrested, and a doctor surgically removed the teeth that had remained incrusted in Drake's knuckle.
How did parkour save his life? When Drake was being pursuited, he had to think quickly, and he luckily is a parkour afficionate. If he hadn't jumed over the fencxe and the wall, he probably would have been seriously injured, or even killed.
